Hit the Road, Jack: Getting to Hard Rock Hotel Chicago
All roads lead to Hard Rock Hotel Chicago. OK. Not really. But we do make it exceptionally easy to get here. You can arrive by airport shuttle, train, taxi, personal vehicle, or the ever-popular limousine ride. It all depends on the level of celebrity status you wish to celebrate during your stay in downtown Chicago. Hard Rock hotel Chicago is located at 230 N. Michigan Ave., on the corner of Michigan Avenue and East Wacker Place/South Water Street.
Airport Shuttles ($20-$30) can be arranged with GO Airport Express by calling (888) 284-3826 prior to your arrival. Or, speak to our concierge during your stay and let us arrange your departure.
Taxis ($40-$65) provide door-to-door service from both airports. Provide the name of our hotel and our address (230 N. Michigan Ave.) for quick service.
Valet parking is available at the front entrance of the hotel for $60 per day (for one car per room) with in/out privileges. To park your car yourself, there is a nearby lot located at 60 E. Lake Street for $40 per day with no in/out privileges. Self parking cannot be charged to guest rooms.

From Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD):
Hard Rock Hotel Chicago is 19 miles southeast of Chicago O’Hare International. Approximate driving time is 40 minutes in light traffic.
From Midway Airport (MDW):
Hard Rock Hotel Chicago is 12 miles northeast of Midway Airport. Approximate driving time is 30 minutes in light traffic.
An inexpensive option for visitors is Chicago’s famous "El" (elevated) train which provides service from each major airport for approximately $2.25 one-way. Although the trip may be longer, riders can enjoy a bird’s eye view of select Chicago neighborhoods along the way – and a taste of how many Chicago locals make their daily commutes.
From Chicago O’Hare International (ORD):
Approximately 50-minute ride. Take Blue Line to the Clark/Lake "El" station. Upon exiting the station, walk four blocks east on Lake Street, turn left on Wabash Avenue and walk one block up to East Wacker Place. Turn right and walk one block to the hotel.
From Midway Airport (MDW):
Approximately, a 30-minute ride. Take the Orange Line to the State/Lake “El” station. Upon exiting the station, walk two blocks east on Lake Street, and turn left onto Michigan Avenue. Look for the hotel on the left.
